Nonna’s Gelato launches a new product line – without added sugar!
Is it possible to make a real premium ice cream without added sugar? We were hesitant!
In order to be satisfied, we required both that the texture be as creamy and smooth as in our original flavors, but also that there be no significant aftertaste of sweeteners.
It was not an easy task but together with BAYN Solutions we have now come up with a new line of Nonna’s Gelato that we are proud to present, Nonna’s Gelato without added sugar.
The same fine, high-quality ingredients as in our original series, but instead of sugar, we use a plant-based sweetened fiber with, among other things, Steviol glycosides.
First up are the flavors Hazelnut, Salt Pistachio, Vanilla and Licorice which therefore do not contain any added sugar at all but only have the naturally occurring sugars from milk and cream (5-6% sugars in total).
Ask for Nonna’s Gelato with no added sugar in your store. They can certainly take home if they know there is demand.
These products range are:
- Nocciola 550 ml without added sugar (our Hazelnut gelato with a long aftertaste of gently roasted hazelnuts from Piedmont in Italy).
- Pistacchio Sale 550 ml without added sugar (pistachios from Sicily together with a pinch of salt make this ice cream our best seller).
- Vaniglia 550 ml without added sugar (our uncompromising vanilla ice cream has a wonderfully floral vanilla flavor from fresh vanilla pods from Sri Lanka. We cut the fresh vanilla bean by hand and let it cook with the base. It doesn’t get more real than this.
- Liquiriza 550 ml without added sugar (licorice ice cream made from organic licorice root from Calabria in Italy. This has become a favorite among licorice lovers who appreciate the real taste of pure licorice that slowly blossoms in the mouth. Sweet or salty licorice, decide for yourself!
